Our board

The DCH board is responsible for setting our strategic direction and overseeing our performance, whilst ensuring DCH achieves high standards and value for money.

DCH board is supported by a small number of Committees. These include Audit and Risk, Remuneration, Treasury, Customer Services Committee and the Development Review group.

Angela Dupont MBE DL

Chairman 

Angela Dupont

Group Chairman since September 2011, Angela was Chairman of Yeovil District Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. She has executive and non-executive experience, including managing change and driving improvement. Angela was a stockbroker and a board member of two hospices and Magna Housing. She holds the position of Deputy Lieutenant for Dorset. Angela is a member of Remuneration committee but also attends a number of our Committee meetings in her role as Group Chairman.

Paul Crawford

Group Chief Executive 

Paul Crawford

Paul joined DCH in November 2009 and has worked in property management and residential development for the past 27 years. Prior to joining DCH he held the position of Managing Director at Sovereign HA for five years. He is currently chair of HAILO, an influencing and lobby group focusing on investment to address the various housing challenges in the south west.

Mark Rowan

 

Mark Rowan

Mark is currently a private investor and adviser to small and medium enterprises in the UK and abroad. He has considerable experience in investments, credit analysis, capital raising and derivatives. Mark is also on our Treasury committee. 

Nick Hardie

 

Nick Hardie

Nick is a chartered accountant with expertise in corporate finance, including property development. Nick was previously at Hammerson PLC. He has non-executive director/trustee involvement in cultural and not-for-profit organisations. Nick is Chairman of our Audit and Risk committee and is a member of our Treasury and Remuneration committees.

John Newbury

 

Andrew Joss

John is a qualified housing professional with wide and senior experience as a local government director, an advisor to government, the commercial sector and social landlords, Director of Housing & Regeneration for a public services PLC and a non-executive director. John is a member of our Customer Services Committee. 

Andrew Wiles

 

Andrew Wiles

Andrew has extensive, senior-level, experience as an affordable housing professional, both as a practitioner and as a policymaker. From 1995 to 2009 he was the Housing Corporation's Regional Director for the south-west. Andrew is Chairman of our Customer Services Committee. 

Melvyn Garrett

Group Director of Finance 

Melvyn Garrett

Group Director since 2013. Melvyn joined us from Motorola Mobility where he was Europe, Middle East and Africa Finance and Operations Director. He previously held finance, strategy and chief executive positions in the transport, electronics and distribution sectors; with eight years spent in the USA. Melvyn is a member of our Development Review group and Treasury Committee.

Jenefer Greenwood

 

Jenefer Greenwood

Jenefer qualified as a chartered surveyor and has worked primarily in development. Jenefer served as a non-executive director of The Crown Estate. Jenefer was awarded an OBE for services to the real estate industry and voluntary service to young people. Jenefer is Chairman of our Remuneration committee and is a member of our Development Review group.

Tim Larner

 

Tim Larner

Tim has 20 years' experience within senior management. Tim has experienced all aspects of the housing building industry. He has worked as the Managing Director for Barratt, David Wilson Homes and previously as their Technical and Commercial Director. Tim is a member of the Development Review group and a director of our development company.

Laurence Clarke

 

Laurence Clarke

Laurence runs a property consultancy company providing services to development companies and housing groups. Laurence also has 12 years' experience as a Development Director for Crest Nicholson. He was a non-executive board member for Somer Community Housing Trust. Laurence is a member of our Audit and Risk committee.
