Our board

Group board members and staff at the stakeholder day 07DCHT is led by voluntary board members, drawn from our subsidiary boards and the wider community.

The board has ten members, and comprises:

  • two board members from DCHA
  • two board members from PHA
  • two board members from Tor Homes
  • up to four independent board members from the wider community.

Our current board members:

Jonathan Broad

Jonathan Broad

Chair of DCHT and has been a DCHA resident board member since 2004. Chair of the group nominations committee.

Jonathan is also a member of the Active Community Tenants Network since its first meeting in north Devon and a volunteer working as a member of the Patient & Public Involvement Forum.

Carol Bosworth

Carol Bosworth

Board member of DCHT since 2005. Board member of PHA and the group remuneration and community investment fund committees.

Carol has been a tenant representative since 1995. She was the founder member of the Treneere Residents' Community Association and held the position of chair for 13 years. Carol is chair of Surestart Lescudjack and she has a vast experience of community work. She is also vice-chair of Age Concern (Penzance).

Graham Facks-Martin

Graham Facks-Martin

Chair of Tor Homes and appointed to the DCHT board in January 2009. Member of the group treasury and nominations committees.

Graham has extensive experience in social housing both at regional and national level and has been a housing association board member for over 20 years.

Linda Hughes

Board member of DCHT since 2006. Chair of group audit committee.

Linda is chair of New Devon Opera; a magistrate; vice-patron of Tomorrow’s People; former NHS Chief Executive (London); health management consultant and a member of Torbay Foyer enterprise committee

Gail Hunt

Gail Hunt

Chair of PHA. Board member of DCHT since 2005.Member of the group treasury, nominations and remuneration committees.

Gail is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. She currently advises groups and agencies working with people with a learning disability, and is also treasurer of Cornwall Advocacy, treasurer of Surestart Lescudjack. Previous experience was as finance director of a charity for 10 years, which became an RSL, housing and supporting homeless people, and has extensive knowledge of the building and property market.

john walker

John Walker

Appointed to the DCHT board in June 2008 and a Tor Homes resident board member since March 2004. A member of the group audit, treasury and nominations committees and the group community investment fund committee.

John is a retired farmer and one time county, district and town councillor. He has been a Church of England reader for 50 years and is also a special school governor. He is a keen gardener and plays in several local string ensembles.

Mike Jane

Mike Jane

Appointed as an independent board member in June 2008. Michael has extensive financial experience gained from a 39-year career with Lloyds bank, mostly as a senior manager within the corporate division.

Mike has held a number of local honorary positions including either trustee or treasurer to The Chagford Show, The Dartmoor Commoners Association and The Chagford Recreational Trust.

Simon Sanger-Anderson

Chair of DCHA. Board member of DCHT since 2007. Member of group remuneration and nominations committees.

Was a tenant for many years of a housing association in Islington and on their board. Solicitor and partner in Tozers, specialising in employment law and governance.

Tim Tamblyn

Tim Tamblyn

Vice-chair of DCHT. Chair of the group treasury and remuneration committees. DCHT independent board member since 2006.

A chartered accountant and business consultant formerly with the consultancy firm KPMG specialising in social housing.

Tim is a former chair of Penwith Housing Association
