As part of our continued commitment to supporting customer and local communities, we are pleased to have played a significant part in the refurbishment of a community room in Tavistock.

We provided funding of over £700 to Crelake Close, a DCH older persons scheme in Tavistock. Members of DCH staff have worked with customers to create a vibrant and colourful space, which now feels welcoming and will be used for social functions.

DCH staff volunteers helped to get the refurbishment work completed quickly and they were keen to participate in this activity as part of the DCH staff volunteering programme. Staff were busy painting and successfully transformed the room into a calm and fresh looking communal space.

Alison Knight, DCH Community Development Worker said: “This was such a satisfying project to be involved in. I would like to thank Will Martin, a local DCH customer; his substantial support has helped to make this project so successful. Thank you as well to our wonderful DCH staff volunteers who also assisted with refurbishing the room.”
