The new and improved Devon & Cornwall Housing
On 1 April 2011 we created a new group parent company, Devon & Cornwall Housing (DCH), by amalgamating Devon & Cornwall Housing Association and Devon & Cornwall Housing Trust.

This creates a simplified structure, with a parent resourced to deliver our demanding targets. It provides clear leadership in a group structure that creates value and targets resources on front-line customer services delivered through Penwith Housing Association (PHA), Tor Homes, Independent Futures and our other subsidiaries.
We consulted DCHA residents extensively on the change, and they were overwhelmingly supportive. As part of this, all former DCHA homes in Devon are now being managed by Tor Homes, while PHA continues to manage former DCHA homes in Cornwall.
Later this year we plan to consult with PHA and Tor Homes residents on further strengthening the structure by holding all assets in the group parent (while still delivering services through our strong local brands).
We will keep you informed about these changes, and about how our group strategy is developing in response to the changing environment. Importantly, we will be continuing to support local councils and agencies in delivering their own work programmes in challenging economic circumstances.
