Grants and awards

Each year Devon & Cornwall Housing Trust awards up to £10,000 to PHA & DCHA local groups and residents where financial assistance will help meet their aspirations and objectives.

There is always a range of applications and the latest sums approved by the community investment committee are no exception. This time appllicants asked for help to:

• go on a youth cricket tour to South Africa
• pay for fees and clothing to join a local football team
• meet the costs of extra training to become a goalkeeper
• meet the costs of coaching courses for both boys and girls football teams
• cover the costs of going to university
• buy a laptop to help with education

The committee approved applications totalling nearly £2,000.
