Ensuring we listen to tenants and live up to our vision

jonathan broadJonathan Broad is the new chair of Devon & Cornwall Housing Trust. Jonathan is a tenant of Devon and Cornwall Housing Association (DCHA) one of the 3 partner organisations in the group together with Tor Homes and Penwith Housing Association. He has played an active part in the work of the group for a number of years and is the first tenant to be elected as chair of the Trust.

Jonathan joined the DCHT board in 2006 having previously served on the DCHA board, on Devon North regional committee and he was one of the first participants in the DCHA Active Community Tenant (Act) network in north Devon.

He has been an active community voice in the area of local health issues by being a member of his local Patient & Public Involvement Forum which he chaired from January 2004 to May 2007.

Jonathan says “I became involved in the work of the DCH group because I wanted other people to have the same opportunity that DCH had given me, the opportunity to live in a decent home and know that my views were listened to and acted on. I will do my best to ensure that Devon and Cornwall Housing Trust continues to listens to the views of tenants and lives up to its vision for better homes, better places and better lives.”
