Annual reports 2008

Now available to download, for each organisation in the group

DCHT annual report 2008Our annual reports for each organisation in the group are now available to download.

This year's DCHT annual report focuses on the great strengths of our group structure, which celebrates the identity and individuality of each organisation, while being far more than the sum of our parts.

For the first time, our group has a tenant chair, elected at the AGM in September 2007, as one of three tenant members on the Trust board.
We have also launched our high-level resident steering group, with members from Tor Homes, Penwith Housing Association and Devon & Cornwall Housing Association. We expect this group to become a significant force over the next few years, giving our residents a strong and coherent voice in speaking to the group and to the outside world.

It’s been a year of consolidation for us – beginning to deliver the efficiencies that formed the business case for bringing the three associations together, while respecting the integrity and customer focus of each. We have developed a series of group-wide policies, including publishing our disability and gender equality schemes.

The three associations are beginning to contract with one another to provide quality, value for money services for our residents, including housing management, maintenance, and emergency alarm call services.

We have launched Devon & Cornwall Treasury, which builds on the economies of scale of the new group to maximise the efficiency of our borrowing.

We are well on course to meet the Decent Homes target for our existing homes, and we completed 462 new homes across the group.
